Stapleton Law Offices was founded in 1979 by senior partner John W. Stapleton. A few years later, Scott Stapleton completed law school and joined his brother at the family firm. The two brothers spent the next few decades representing ordinary people with their legal issues before being joined by Matt Stapleton, Scott's son and John's nephew. A year later John's goddaughter, Candice Gilliam, finished law school and joined their firm.
